Weldcote 410 Is Used To Weld Types 403, 405, 410, And 416. It Is Also Used For Welding Overlay On Carbon Steels To Resist Erosion Or Abrasion. 410 Is A Martensitic Stainless Steel But With A Higher Level Of Carbon. The Increased Carbon Content Gives The Weld Deposit Greater Resistance As Well As Moderate Corrosion Resistance. Weld Deposits Will Work-Harden When Put Into Service And So This Filler Metal Is Commonly Used For Surfacing Applications. Preheat At 350 Degrees F And Post Weld Heat Treat Between 1350 Degrees F And 1400 Degrees F For One Hour Is Recommended.
